Form and Function

Charles and Ray Eames were two of the most influential designers of the twentieth century. According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, the work created by this duo ultimately shaped the way we live today. This project encompasses various media items that were created for the Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition Form and Function which features the Eames’s various furniture designs. The print advertisements and billboard used to advertise this exhibition were created with these furniture designs in mind. As such, the design style of each of these media items is clean and modern — both reflecting the Eames’s work, while allowing it to take center stage. The interior signage created for use throughout this exhibition also embodies this simple design style in order to compliment the pieces being displayed. The last media item created for this exhibition is an Instagram wall. This not only serves as a way for visitors to remember their time spent at this exhibition, but also as additional advertising for the exhibition once these photos are shared on various social media platforms.
